Tilted Kilt has given San Diego bar-lovers a go-to place with lively energy, a huge brew and grub selection and gorgeous girls wearing little more than their signature kilts. The Celtic-themed pub boasts all the essentials for a little pre-party before heading to Petco Park at the East Village location, or a central-spot to meet up with friends next to shopping malls at the Mission Valley and Temecula locations.
If there’s one other thing that locals love, it’s jetting off to the nearest rival party-hub, a place known as Sin City. When Las Vegas calls, San Diego is packed and ready for that quickie flight that puts us in the center of the action in minutes.
Local Tilted Kilt owners and operators recognized this fact; they saw that the Kilts in San Diego have the potential to grow and thrive in a city with just as much liveliness. That’s right - Tilted Kilt is opening at The Linq Las Vegas in October 2013.
The Linq La Vegas is a $550 million open-air retail, dining and entertainment district, smack on the Las Vegas Strip currently being developed by Caesar’s Entertainment and Caruso Affiliated. With the Tilted Kilt as a tenant, party-goers and strictly-shopping tourists alike can have a taste of the Tilted goodness.
A Brief, Tilted History: While the Tilted Kilt is rooted in Scottish, Irish and English themes, the original location was created in Las Vegas by successful restaurateur Mark DiMartino. Its instant success turned into a franchise with far-reaching appeal. They moved the Tilted Kilt headquarters to Tempe, Arizona and now will have 95 Kilts by the end of the year in 21 states and 1 Canadian province. San Diego-based team Anthony Laureti, Bill Reynolds and Jason Wood own and operate the three local Tilted Kilts and have taken on this Vegas project with the help of original creator, DiMartino.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for us to work with Mark DiMartino, the founder of the Tilted Kilt concept, as well as the Caesars Entertainment Group,” said Anthony Laureti. “And since the Tilted Kilt concept originated in Las Vegas, we’re excited to be involved in bringing it back home.”
While in Vegas, look forward to munching down on some TK Irish Nachos, Drunken Clams, the TK Jalapeno Inferno Burger, TK’s Signature Wings, Maggie Mae’s Fish & Chips, Olde Dublin Irish Stew, Gaelic Chicken, The ‘Kilt Club Sandwich and the TK Premium Lager.
