Patton Oswalt at Spreckels Theatre – July 12

Kicking off another epic Comic-Con International 2012, funny guy Patton Oswalt brings outrageous talents to Spreckels Theatre. Patton’s acting and comedy can be seen just about everywhere, and he doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Update: newly added to the Patton Oswalt show is Special Guests Doug Benson and Brian Posehn.

How you know him: As an in-demand comedian who has shot four TV specials and four critically acclaimed albums, Patton Oswalt’s sharp commentary and don’t-take-yourself-too-seriously disposition have set him apart for many years. On TV, he’s a series regular on Showtime’s United States of Tara, as well as guest star on Bored to Death and The Sarah Silverman Program. You may recognize him from his role on The King of Queens for nine seasons, heard his jokes in his latest album Finest Hour recently nominated for “Best Comedy Album,” or read his humor in his New York Times bestselling book Zombie Spaceship Wasteland. Lisa Lampanelli at Humphreys by the Bay - July 13

Notorious as the “Lovable Queen of Mean,” Lisa Lampanelli brings some female spunk to the Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay line-up.

Bo Burnham at Balboa Theatre - July 14

American comedian, singer-songwriter, musician, actor and internet celebrity Bo Burnham has been busy for a young guy making a name for himself. His signature move is his comedic and satirical songs, which were also his key to finding fame from YouTube videos.

How you know him: His first Comedy Central EP was released in 2008 when he was only 18 years old, followed by two full-length albums. Jay Leno at Pechanga Casino – July 28

He may be a regular on your TV each weeknight, but Jay Leno’s live comedy set at Pechanga Casino is an exclusive sight to see. For one night, Leno brings his wit, charm and cultural commentary into a full-length performance not to be missed.

How you know him: If you’ve owned a television anytime between now and the early ‘90s, you’ve heard of Jay Leno. The Tonight Show with Jay Leno has been a household staple for years, and Leno’s seamless celebrity interviews and chuckle-worthy monologues have kept him positioned as one of the top dogs in the business.
