Ordering your eggs with a side of classic rock is a major step up from yesterday’s hash browns. Good news to the weekend brunch crew reliant on this meal as a means of party-recovery and survival into the next week: Burlap has a new-and-improved brunch on the table.
On Sunday, March 4th from 10am to 2pm, our Asian cowboy quarters rises and shines for the launch of a brand new brunch menu. During the official launch party, diners will scramble in the company of classic rock n’ roll sounds provided by DJ Conor Shean.

Start with the Griddle Cakes with ginger Asian pear compote and orange whipped cream. Then perk up with the Shrimp n’ the Mornin Grits with bacon grits and poached egg; Fried Egg Sandwich with fried green tomato, pork belly and sambal aioli; or the drool-worthy Short Rib Hash with roasted potatoes, carmelized onions and poached eggs.
Benedicts feature a pulled pork, sesame spinach and balsamic option; crab cake, Meyer lemon and avocado option; or a fresh avocado, tomato and arugula option. Californian scrambles include the “Plain Jane” with eggs and a side of bacon; a lobster, avocado and gruyere scramble; 8 oz. prime sirloin and hollandaise option; or an upscale choice of duck confit, charred scallions and piquillo peppers. All benedicts and scrambles are served with the Asian hollandaise and toasted baguette.
And as any seasoned brunchanista knows, the only appropriate drink with a meal at this hour is the Bloody Mary. Get your fix with Burlap’s new DIY custom designed Bloody Mary Bar.
