Fashion Plates at Hyatt Regency La Jolla – Thursday, Feb. 16

Fashion and food collide during this unique benefit presented by The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Fashion Plates will whisk you away for “an afternoon in Tuscany,” including an inspired gourmet lunch, fashion show, and live and silent auctions. Proceeds will benefit The Food 4 Kids Backpack Program, which provides nutritious food to local students who suffer from hunger over the weekend. Get details here.

NOH8 Campaign Photo Shoot at Hotel Solamar – Saturday, Feb. 18

On the heels of a great victory for the LGBT community, Adam Bouska is bringing his NOH8 Campaign back to San Diego. California has officially overturned Proposition 8, and now it’s time to celebrate by taking a stand for equality in a stylish photo shoot. Tribute to the Legends Reggae Festivalat Broadway Pier – Feb. 18 & 19

Calling all reggae music fans, the 31st Annual Tribute to the Legends Festival is taking over the waterfront Broadway Pier Port Pavilion for two days of non-stop good vibrations. Andaz Salon: Carnival Brazil at Andaz Hotel – Saturday, Feb. 18

This week’s Andaz Salon series takes on the Carnival Brazil party spirit. From the swanky Ivy Rooftop to the subterranean Ivy Nightclub, stimulate your senses with Capoeira performances, a live Samba showcase by the ladies of Lipstik Inc., and exotic dance beats by DJ duo Sex Panther. Little Italy Carnevale – Saturday, Feb. 18

Embrace the spirit of Carnevale, Italian-style, during the 9th Annual Little Italy Carnevale, a family-friendly festival filled with authentic traditions and alluring temptations. At the intersection of W. Date and India Streets, enter a Venice-inspired scene illustrated with live music and dancing, stilt-walkers, art displays and mask-making for kids. LED Presents Anniversary Party at Valley View Casino Center – Sunday, Feb. 19

The guys behind LED Presents are taking over Valley View Casino Center for their big anniversary bash this Sunday night. The anniversary line-up features Dirty South, Bingo Players, Tommy Trash, and Kill The Noise with guest Nicky Romero, plus a surprise guest DJ.
