The LED Presents crew will take over Wavehouse in Mission Beach for another rowdy Sunday Funday bash on Sunday, April 29. Intervention ft. Roger Sanchez at Hard Rock Hotel – Sunday, May 6
The Grammy Award-winning house music DJ and producer Roger Sanchez is heading back to San Diego to spin at the Hard Rock Hotel’s infamous pool party Intervention on Sunday, May 6. Sanchez is known for his top tracks “Another Chance” and “Show,” and he has also created beats for and remixed songs by Kylie Minogue, Daft Punk, Madonna, Maroon 5 and The Police. Get details here
Moguaiat FLUXX – Sunday, May 20
FLUXX hosts a special Sunday edition of EDM on May 20, in celebration of SDSU graduation. New college grads are invited to party with Moguai, the progressive German electro-dance DJ and producer best known for his exclusive ability to release tracks on Deadmau5’s record label, mau5trap. Travel: A.W.O.L. Boulevard at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel – May 25-27
Our friends over at Another Way Of Life are giving Hollywood a run for its money with a big Memorial Day weekend bash. The brains behind A.W.O.L. have brought you such electronic and house music artists as Dirty South, Sharam, Robbie Rivera, Roger Sanchez and LA Riots, from Cabo San Lucas to Lake Tahoe and back. The Intervention heat picks up Memorial Day weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel with back-to-back pool parties on Saturday and Sunday. Can you handle it? Yeeeahhh! Lil Jon kicks off the weekend with a DJ set on Saturday, May 26. Expect super-sized water guns and plenty of wild crowd interaction from this rap icon. I Love This City Music Festival at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre – Sunday, May 27
I Love This City is a two-city electronic music festival hitting San Francisco and San Diego this May. The fest kicks off May 25 and 26 in San Francisco, before taking over San Diego’s Cricket Wireless Ampitheatre in Chula Vista on Sunday, May 27. The local line-up features over 21 artists spinning back-to-back on one big day. Headliners include Skrillex, A-Trak, The Crystal Method (DJ set), Dirty Loud and 12th Planet. Also on the line-up are Brodinski, Cookie Monsta, AC Slater, Lucky Date The M Machine, No Body, Deth Hertz and more. 16+ show with 21+ full bar access, presented by Live Nation and LED Presents. Steve Aoki at House of Blues – Sunday, May 27
Amplified Access is bringing Steve Aoki to the House of Blues for a Memorial Day weekend finale show on Sunday, May 27. Aoki’s newest album “Wonderland” was released in January, and features collaborations with will.i.am, Kid Cudi, Lil Jon, LMFAO, Travis Barker and more. On stage, Aoki is known to put on a wild show, spinning electro-house beats and interacting with the crowd. The show will also feature opening sets by Mr. Nice Guy, Luke Skyy and Justin Campbell. 18+ show with 21+ full bar access. Get details here
Fun Facts: Aoki was a star badminton player in high school, and graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a double-degree in Women’s Studies and Sociology. Even cooler? His dad was a Japanese Olympic wrestler who later founded the restaurant chain Benihana.
Mickey Avalon at Stingaree – Friday, June 1
After six years, the infamously controversial Mickey Avalon is releasing a new album called Loaded. The 2012 follow-up to his self-titled debut album features collaborations with Cisco Adler, Andre Legacy and even Scott Russo of Unwritten Law. Avalon is San Diego-bound to host a CD release party at Stingaree on Friday, June 1. Fans can look forward to hearing his famous hits “Jane Fonda” and “Mr. Right” and his new singles “I’m Hot” and “Girlfriend” ft. Russo. The party is presented by Jagermeister. Get details here
Fun Facts: As a teenager raised by a marijuana-dealing mother, Avalon became a prostitute to support his own heroin addiction. Avalon entered the music industry in 2000 after to moving to Los Angeles and befriending ex-MTV VJ Simon Rex who encouraged him to rap. His big break came six years later.

Identity Festivalat Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre – Saturday, August 18
The big daddy finale to our electro-fueled summer will be the Identity Festival, back at Cricket on Saturday, August 18. The line-up was just released, and 13 house and electronic artists fill the roster as of now. Headliners include Hardwell, Madeon, Wolfgang Gartner, Nero, Eric Prydz, Paul Van Dyk and Porter Robinson. Also on the line-up are Excision, Showtek, Noisia, Arty, Bingo Players and Doctor P.
