As we reluctantly tuck away our shocking, seductive, and plain weird Halloween costumes into the abyss of the closet, there’s no reason to spend more than a day sulking while savoring the last of the candy bowl. Chin up and celebrate cultural and historic traditions, anniversaries, art exhibits, and plenty of beer and wine this weekend in San Diego.
With San Diego Beer Week kicking off on Friday and the Wine Tasting Harvest Celebration in Temecula on Saturday, no adult goes without a drink this weekend. The separate festivals show off some of San Diego’s best assets— craft breweries and local vineyards that supply us and the rest of the country with home-grown tastes. Culture gets explored through a Day of the Dead Celebration at Maria Maria, while our downtown Museum of Contemporary Art pulls off another Thursday Night Thing. More top picks include the DiscoverSD hosted Flavor Del Mar One Year Anniversary, the Gaslamp Quarter Fallback Festival, Ice Cube at FLUXX, and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Balboa Park.
