2011 Memorial Day Weekend Party Guide

Is it just me or is anyone else in awe that Memorial Day Weekend in San Diego kicks off exactly one week from today? Maybe you’re like me and have been way too busy busting your ass at work and Sunday-Fundaying your face off to realize that yes, summer is finally here!

I’ve been anxiously anticipating Memorial Day Weekend for the past eight months. Maybe it’s due to the fact that I will be trekking the Swiss Alps–slash–boozin’ it up at the best beer halls in Munich by the time next weekend rolls around; or maybe it’s the fact I'm just elated that sweet sweet summertime has finally returned to us eager, party-lovin' locals. Whatever the case may be, I’m happier than a pig in shit!

Regardless if you’ll be party rocking in Europe like moi, Memorial Day Weekend parties in San Diego are hotter than ever this year and you definitely don’t want to miss out! Think I'm kidding? See for yourself!

This year, Intervention at Hard Rock is all the rage with two days of pool parties featuring Armin Van Buuren on Saturday and Above & Beyond on Sunday. Voyeur is also a buzz-worthy holiday destination, as the LED Party Gods are planning an electro invasion on Sunday with Laidback Luke and Chris Lake at Voyeur from 9pm to 2am and at 4th&B until 4am. Fortune has selected the Ivy Rooftop at Andaz for its holiday soiree with an 8-hour pool party featuring sounds by Brady Spear, Whitenoiz, and Chris Garcia. Oh, and did we mention that Sing, Dance, Crawl to the Park packs in five primo party destinations all in one? And that’s just the beginning…
