Opened in 1968, and still operated under the same owner, the store’s library compromises over 90,000 hours of music spanned throughout the 90 years of recording. This collection includes used, sealed and rare records. Specializing on the more legendary acts through the history of music, the focus is on classic folk, jazz, show tunes, r&b and rock and roll vinyl. Folk Arts Rare Records even received a grant from the GRAMMY Foundation in 2007 for the archiving and preservation of some of America’s most historical acts and allowing them to be cherished and remembered for many years to come.
