Opening its doors in San Diego’s Marina District on May 4, 2008, it could not have opened at a more critical time for San Diego’s youth. The museum extends to the outdoors with a park across the street where visitors can run, climb, have family picnics and view passing trains and trolleys. NCM’s Executive Director, Rachel Teagle PhD, says of NCM, “Our goal is to inspire children to think, play and create by providing accessible and meaningful art experiences.
