Listing Details: The San Dieguito Heritage Museum was founded in 1988 to preserve artifacts, records and stories pertaining to the unique history of the communities of the San Dieguito River area that include: Leucadia, Encinitas, Olivehain, Cardiff, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Rancho Santa Fe. The museum seeks to preserve and share this special history through a combination of hands-on history experiences and traditional exhibits. Its new location on over an acre of land in Encinitas has made it possible to offer a more hands-on experience for visitors.
