Listing Details: The Museum of History and Art was conceived through the philanthropic work of the Coronado Historical Association in 1987, in order to encourage and promote the appreciation, knowledge and understanding of Coronado’s unique art, architecture and history. The Museum currently houses over 20 manuscript and photograph collections, including the construction ledger for the very recognizable Hotel Del Coronado. The original construction ledger for the Hotel Del, as well as hundreds of photographs, are all part of the archival collection available for viewing. Located at 1100 Orange Avenue in the historic Bank of Commerce building, the museum will be hosting its Fifth Annual Art Walk in September (18-19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), featuring over 70 artists accompanied by Jazz, Latin, and blues music throughout the day as well as interactive activities for families.

I have been here numerous times and is usually a great spot to bring family members during a visit to SD. The pictures of the Hotel Del are awesome and give you a true since of how beautiful this city really is.
