Listing Details: Recently named San Diego’s number four museum/art gallery in DK Eyewitness Travel in 2009, the Chinese Historical Museum has presented more than 47 exhibits since being founded in 1996. Highlighting the rich tradition of Chinese culture and history in San Diego and the world, the museum also features a library of books on Chinese culture and a koi pond set in a tranquil garden. As a nonprofit organization, the Museum depends upon the generosity of its members who uphold the mission to collect, preserve and share the Chinese American experience and Chinese history, culture and art in order to educate the surrounding community and visitors from near and far.
