Listing Details: The Bonita Museum & Cultural Center is located in the heart of Bonita across the street from the Vons shopping center on Bonita Road. It was the community’s love of history and determination to keep it alive that kept this treasure of Sweetwater Valley thriving and educating returning visitors and passing tourists alike. Valued local artifacts were even kept alive by Bonita residents through trunk exhibits at local schools after a fire destroyed its previous location. Sponsored by the Bonita Historical Society, which preserves the culture, history, art, crafts and aesthetic facets of the region, the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center continually seeks to educate its visitors with changing exhibits and events. A few annual events to be sure to catch include Bonitafest, Taste of Bonita and many other concerts and events.
