OnStage has contributed greatly to the cultural arts in Chula Vista, and continues to astonish critics and audiences alike. OnStage Playhouse is a nonprofit corporation created to educate and inspire the community of Chula Vista, as well as surrounding audience goers. OnStage currently has a student internship program where undergraduate and graduate students are able to get their feet wet in the world of performing arts. OnStage is part of the Associated Community Theatres of San Diego County, in which the collection of community theaters involved join together to improve the quality of theatre in the San Diego area. The theatre seating area is comprised of an intimate sixty seats and is located Downtown Chula Vista. The playhouse creates a monthly newsletter for the community to get active and informed about what the theatre is doing.
