San Diego Sheraton Hotel and Marina

Several years ago, Downtown San Diego was known mostly for its industrial side - now this city exudes a rather different persona.
Today, Downtown is home to a wide array of business entities ranging from warehouses, which originally occupied the main streets, to many new and old hotels, shops and fine restaurants. Being a fine vacation destination with our historic Marina and the Gaslamp Quarter nearby, the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island is well positioned as a corridor to our city's unique offerings.
The Sheraton amply suits a variety of needs by providing standard to very luxurious accommodations as found in the Lanai, traditional, deluxe, club and executive suites. Each suite is elegantly designed with amazing Marina views accompanied by an accessible and cozy feel, while being right next door to many alluring amenities. With a straight forward nautical design containing blue and red hues in the Bay tower, a sea voyage may be an inspirable endeavor to seek out.

Breakfast, hors d'oeuvres and fine dinning at the Harbor's Edge restaurant combined with sunbathing at one of three pools, playing a game of tennis or jogging along designated trails comprises the activities this tropically oriented San Diego hotel provides. Amazingly there is absolutely no need to leave the hotel grounds to have fun as among the health club and spa, basketball courts and water volleyball courts, there is simply plenty of activities to engage in and occupy your time.
More specifically about the guest suites, the Lanai rooms offer a quiet setting acting much like a cozy hideaway with a nearby pool and tropical waterfall. The deluxe rooms, located in the Marina tower, provide stunning views of the San Diego skyline, harbor and Marina. These rooms also come standard with many modern furnishings such as writing desks, wood armoires and a full complement of amenities.
The spectacular club rooms are located in the Marina tower which also offers marvelous views of San Diego with upgraded amenities and services such as complimentary breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres in the club lounge. For the lavish accommodation seekers the junior, executive and premier suites are most certainly a step up. Especially the premier suites, there are only five and each are located on the top floor of each tower.

Each suite offers the standard accommodations as described in the other rooms and additionally has a spacious living room. The executive suites contain two bed rooms and a living room featuring a wet bar, which is ample space for all your needs. Exclusive to the premier suites, which can be up to 800 plus square feet in size, they have both a family room and living room that are just spacious enough to entertain guests or host a small reception.
With 147,789 square feet of meeting spaces, some able to host at capacity 2,000 people, the Sheraton Hotel is always able to host and cater your San Diego events. And having 1044 guest rooms and 73 meeting spaces, there certainly is room for every event.
Of course being near the Marina gives Sheraton guests the luxury to simply take a stroll down the harbor or a boat ride through the ocean breeze. Furthermore, the also nearby San Diego Convention Center and Gaslamp District host a myriad of business, cultural, lifestyle, and charity events.

The broad culinary selections found in the menus of the great restaurants in Downtown San Diego really provide something for everyone. At the Shoreline Restaurant enjoyable favorites are grilled dishes by the pool, accompanied with snacks and drinks. Open seasonally, the atmosphere is casual and the water is just the right temperature for a refreshing dip.
What comes to mind when the term harbor's edge is mentioned? Well if you thought harbor front views of boats and water then you have adequately envisioned the view from the Harbor's Edge restaurant. From the menu contemporary American cuisine is served and done amongst a nautical theme. The Alfiere and Alta Aqua Bistro and Bar has an Italian offering, serving up pastas and seafood dishes along with a firm dose of Mediterranean atmosphere. Award wining specialty wines and cocktails are also available.
Whether winding down or turning it up is the theme of your evening, at either Quinn's or Tapatini you will be sure find a delectable drink menu to suit your preference, at the very least. With a more sports oriented atmosphere, checking the latest scores or playing a game of billiards at Quinn's is standard practice. While at Tapatini, Spanish tapas are served and accompanied with fine redefined martinis.
