But, there is one upside to the advent of our new season: fall fashion. Basic Trend
THREAD is the leading independent fashion and lifestyle event, with stops across the world, from San Diego to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Miami, and Bristol, UK. This shopping event thrives on the passion of Alex Matthews and Lara Matthews, the brother-sister duo dedicated to discovering the next best independent designers and showcasing their cutting-edge trends in an all-eccentric all-embracing urban party atmosphere.

Dumpster art and sub-text pop?
If you don't know what it means, it's probably something way beyond your average arena of cool, and therefore something you definitely want to check out.

DiscoverSD.com presents the signature Fieldtrip Live Art Show with an eco-friendly twist: a conscious lack-of-canvas, with five artists painting live on two huge dumpsters outside the THREAD tent. Inside the tent, your independent source for all things literature, Subtext, will host a Pop Up Book Store, adding some literary culture to your stylish lifestyle.

Lounge and sip
From an art adorned social center to a poolside party, THREAD has weary shoppers covered with three areas for lounging.

DiscoverSD.com hosts a luxury lounge inside the THREAD tent with ultra-mod Plush Impressions furniture, an Absolut Vodka bar with all the mixings, a Fieldtrip Live Art Show gallery, and body-painted gals and guys sporting the latest in impromptu Fieldtrip fashions. Also check out the URB pool party lounge outside the tent - brand new - and the 944 Magazine lounge, celebrating their 5th birthday along with THREAD. Guests can also grab Absolut and Cruzen Rum cocktails at additional bars around the tent.

Dance and run-away
THREAD jump starts the day with rotating runway fashion shows and dance demonstrations. Check out runway shows at 12noon, 2pm, 4pm, and 5pm. And make sure to check out the Nacu Dance Show taking over the main stage with breakdance moves at 1pm, and 3pm. All THREAD dance and run-away entertainment is set to the beats of DJhere Productions sponsored DJ artists.

Pamper and stimulate
It's a coiffure crime to go un-punked at THREAD. Start off your day with a punk-over 'do from Fresh Urban Hair Salon. Fresh, located in North Park, along with local makeup artists, will be doing the stylings for the runway fashion shows.

Pretty indulgence
THREAD San Diego unveils the top up and coming designers from all over Southern California - enabling you to snag the chic samples before the mainstream consumes the independent.
