With the December THREAD Show right around the corner, San Diego fashion enthusiasts are eagerly researching their style, making their must-have lists and doing their shopping stretches. And, let's face it: trying on True Religions for size, and lunging across the room to reduce the truth, aren't exactly the worst pastimes for San Diego shopping addicts.

Although designer denim is a staple on THREAD San Diego shopping lists this season, the rest of the wardrobe remains a mystery. Who are the top designers at THREAD? Who will showcase the best accessories? What item is a holiday-must-have? Calm down restless shoppers, trust your pending questions to DiscoverSD.com and keep your stress level size-centric.

In anticipation of THREAD San Diego on December 2, 2007, DiscoverSD.com spotlights top THREAD designer: Micha.

Q: Where are you from?

A: Germany - Berlin

Q: How will you be involved with the December THREAD show?

I will have a lot interesting designs at the show, and this time I will even have earrings, bracelets, and lots of man jewelry! I am really excited to show my reinvented wallet chain designs, called "jeans bling." And, I will tell everybody about my new online store at designbymicha.com, so guests can shop later if they can't make a decision at the show.

Q: Tell us about your designs. What are your favorite pieces? What materials do you use? What makes your designs unique?

A: Because I have so many different styles, I have more then just one favorite piece – but right now I am crazy about my wallet chain designs for girls and guys, my jeans bling.

I use any kind of material you can imagine. It can be a plant pot décor item, lace, felt, wood, hardware, vintage beads, and broaches, ropes, and all kind of chains - you name it!

My jewelry designs are all one-of-a-kind conversational pieces – they definitely draw attention. If you enter a room wearing a Micha design piece, people will see it before they see you!

Q: which designers/artists are your inspirations?

A: I'm not really inspired by a specific designer; it's more the material I work with. Of course I check magazines for upcoming trends, and I go back to Berlin twice a year and observe what's going on there. And, let me tell you - there is a lot cool stuff going on in Berlin!

Q: what recent fashion trends do you love?

A: Bold colors and lengthy socks with boots

Q: What fashion trends do you despise the most?

A: Half tops with surf company logos on them, and ugg boots.

Q: if you only had one day left on earth, what would you be wearing?

A: My "Eve" costume, and hopefully I would not be alone. . .

Q: what emerging trends should San Diegans keep an eye out for?

A: Pulse warmers in every color and material, and Micha "jeans bling."

Q: Do you think this December's THREAD show will be better than ever?

A: Yes, because people will come to shop for the holidays, and THREAD is getting more and more known for its unique exhibitors.

Q: What are your favorite San Diego boutiques?

A: I don't really shop in specific boutiques. I get my clothes from everywhere. I love the hunt for a not-so-pricy cool looking garment, and I go home and see what outfit I can come up with! That's the creative fun process! And it also lets you develop your own style instead of buying every thing ready assembled in a boutique. Then, I spice it up with a piece of my jewelry and some boots or high heels!

Q: when you're in San Diego, where can we find you?

A: Pretty much all over. I am all about variety, and I like to cruise around. Lately, I start at the Starlite Lounge or Tractor Room and then cruise over to where ever a fashion event is held to network, and later on I will be on the dance floor of Beauty Bar, Red C Lounge, Candelas, Airport Lounge, or the Ivy.

Q: Anything else you'd like fashion fans to know?

A: Be not afraid to go with your own instincts and develop your own style!
