Hope Through Health AIDS Benefit at Minus One

Did you know that by the year 2010 approximately 18 million children will have lost their parents to AIDS in Africa? While many countries have faced the horrors of the AIDS epidemic, no widespread area has ever been so completely overwhelmed and terrorized by a single disease as Africa.

This growing tragedy has grabbed the attention of hundreds who've since dedicated their lives to saving these millions from their devastation.

Hope Through Health, better known as "HTH" is a passionately hardworking charity that has devoted itself to bringing health and healing to Africa and AIDS victims. HTH strives to "provide both financial and technical support to community health initiatives in resource poor settings."

The charity is changing lives of AIDS victims in Africa daily through donated funds provided by aware and willing community members. With the money received, the organization is able to work toward their goal of allowing every human being their right to health care.

Fortunately enough for San Diego, an opportunity to get involved in this escalating issue has risen. On Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 6-9 pm, Salt will be hosting an event in San Diego that will give us the opportunity to help those suffering in Africa through donations made to HTH. The event will be located at the hypnotic and inviting Minus One Lounge inside the Keating Hotel. Donations of $10 or more will get you handmade ribbons and drink specials, provided by Xellent Vodka, all night long. All proceeds will be given directly to the HTH organization and be used to change lives in Africa and provide hope and health care to those who are unable to do so for themselves.

For those that have never been to the Minus One Lounge at the Keating Hotel, the evening's location will be a special treat.The high-tech underground urban vibe comes from a vivacious energy that exudes from the stone and brick walls. A bright red color communicates a sultry and hip atmosphere where friends come together and feel alive and free in a relaxed environment. Enjoy a night of mingling with friends and making a difference through your donations and support.

For interested guests, HTH will have on-site representatives to answer any further questions. The organization hopes to gain not only people's attention and any donations possible, but also hopes to raise an even greater awareness of what is happening in the world. As event guests, you'll have the opportunity to learn about something very important and further spread the word to friends and family. Many Americans are inactive not because they do not care, but because they are unaware of how to participate in the world's destruction prevention.
