The Little Italy Inn
The newly renovated Little Italy Inn still retains the Victorian charm its admirers cherish from its initial construction in 1910. Although the distinctive rooms now offer every amenity a traveler could desire, from cable TV and HBO to Jacuzzi tubs and fluffy spa robes, the hotel’s biggest draw is its intimacy: the Little Italy Inn is of the city’s few true bed-and-breakfasts.
Relax in the private courtyard with a cup of coffee and befriend some sociable strangers, or read a complimentary book in the reception area. Continental breakfast, of course is a defining characteristic. When you’re ready to venture out, the airport, Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza, the ballpark, and Balboa Park are just minutes away—but this historic hotel and the surrounding streets are so delightful, you might find it difficult to leave.
