Why stay in the teeming, stressful city when you can vacation among the vibrant hills, surrounded by green grass and endless sky— yet with all San Diego’s main attractions just twenty minutes away? The Inn at Rancho San Santa Fe, located four miles east of the Pacific Ocean, is a historic Spanish-style hotel that essentially emanates romance. Accommodations range from simple rooms to elegant suites to private cottages.

While the living room and bar date back to the 1920s, the dining room has been lovingly renovated, and serves a menu featuring both California Bistro and European selections. There’s so much to do at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, guest must book a week or more for a mere sampling. The grounds offer golf, croquet, tennis, and swimming. Winding trails are idyllic for jogging or horseback riding. The sea and the Del Mar Racetrack are only a leisurely drive away.

Overall Rating:
The rancho santa fe inn was a wonderful place to stay with your significant other. Be sure to get the suite or whatever they call the rooms that have a patio with a mexican style fireplace outside. I stayed there for two days with my wife and we absolutely loved it.
Conclusion

 Definitely recommend. I'm sure it's a great place for business travelers as well, but can't say as I was focused on the quality time with my wife.

Romantic Hotel the Inn at RSF

Agreed. We got the same room type with the chiminea (outdoor covered fireplace) and drank wine and ate out there. Very romantic.

Overall Rating:
As a local, I've dined and relaxed at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe on several occasions. On a Spring Day, sitting out on the patio at the Inn at RSF, you really can't ask for more. I haven't actually stayed at the Inn but can definitely recommend a relaxing business lunch on the patio.
