Online, there were room rates for $125/night. I printed the page to check-in with. I was not allowed that rate at the counter. The best I could get was $179/night. I was told I could use their free wireless internet to book it online. This amenity functioned very poorly, cutting out constantly. I tried this for an hour at the hotel lounge.
While at the lounge, the bartender was yelled at, and belittled by his manager. The reason is unknown, but the foul language used and the total unprofessional behavior was obviously uncalled for. It was an uncomfortable situation for all the patrons.
After failing to properly book a room online, I used the business center and logged in using a co-workers room number. There I find that on-line rates are not available through their internet feed. I succumb to the rate quoted to me at the desk.
I now go to check in and am told the rate is $220/night. This is from a rude Richard Phillips. I explain my whole ordeal about the online rate and the rate previously quoted to me at the counter. He doesn't accept this and maintains that room rates are $220/night. My frustration is increasing as I ask why they switch room rates around. Richard Phillips goes to get his manager, who tells him that the room rate is $179/night.
I get my room, which is beautiful. The next day I find that my room key doesn't allow me access to leave the parking structure, and later, into my building or room.
Being a frequent business traveler, I know not to expect too much, but this experience was by far memorable, to say the least.
Conclusion
Poor experience
