Proximity is the best reason to stay in Mission Valley, and the Mission Valley Double Tree takes the cake for offering goodies all around. Located next to the Hazard center mall, with the tremendous Fashion Valley Mall within walking distance, the hotel is a shopaholic’s dream. Fitness buffs will adore the onsite 24-hour Fitness Center with comprehensive cardio and resistance training, tennis courts, and an indoor lap pool.

Whether your workout comes from shopping or cardio, you’ll be revitalized a drink or two at the Windows Lobby Bar overlooking the pool patio, before dining at the Fountain Café (also home of the area’s best champagne brunch). Rooms are ample and comfortable, and suites vary from apartment-style Parlor Suites to Executive and Presidential. The lounge offers continental breakfast daily, as well as an evening reception.
