My old UCSD college friends and I just had a reunion in San Diego this past weekend. We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt- and it was such a blast. The Hyatt is classy and comfortable- and so close to the top downtown clubs. We were never in need the whole weekend...
Conclusion
When visiting San Diego, I recommend the Manchester Grand Hyatt downtown.

I love this hotel. It has a great view, the staff is excellent and the location is premiere. What more could a girl ask for? The room service came quick and delicious and the lounge was a great way to unwind at the end of the night.
Conclusion
I highly recommend staying here.

the spa is amazing and the hotel staff is very attentive. sally's seafood is a great restaurant. their wok seared szechwan slipper lobster is a must have!

The Manchester Hyatt in downtown San Diego is just plain beautiful. You've got to treat yourself to at least one night stay to experience a slice of heaven. Great rooms, a beautiful view of the sea and a great location.
Conclusion
Whether you're from outta town or a San Diego native you've got to treat yourslef to one of the finest hotels in San Diego.

I stayed here with several friends and we had a great time. It was close to all the restaurants and bars downtown....the view from our room was absolutely beautiful and of course the service was fantastic....the pool has great views of the bay and has firepits to sit by at night
Conclusion
An all around fantastic place for a weekend getaway!

hotel guests were all a bit older than i would have prefered ... not a party hotel!

Last month I stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego and enjoyed a wonderful massage by the pool with Regency Spa. It was so peaceful - only in San Diego can you sit by the pool and have a spa treatment in December!
Conclusion
The spa at the Grand Hyatt is amazing - but this San Diego hotel is only good for relaxing, not partying.
