Drawing from the personalities of ten accomplished painters, Les Artistes Inn is a unique hospitality experience in Del Mar. While the Inn has been in business for 17 years, it is located in an antique, hacienda style building built almost 50 years ago. In the middle of the building, guests can enjoy a large courtyard with a garden and fountain.
The featured artist rooms at Les Artistes Inn are: Fernando Botero, Tamara de Lempicka, Erte, Furo, Paul Gauguin, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Frederic Remington, Diego Rivera and a room simply called Zen. Almost all rooms contain a queen sized bed, a kitchenette set of a refrigerator and a microwave, and a television. Some rooms also feature back patios overlooking the fountain, twin daybeds and skylights.
A room sure to catch your eye is the Erte room, featuring an art deco motif. With black floors and contrasting stark white walls, the room is a visual feast with pastel accents and a large green wooden chest. Decorated in an Oriental inspired décor, the Furo and Zen rooms are sensuous spaces. The Furo room boasts a Japanese soaking tub and Shoji screens, and the Zen room impresses with its overwhelming, but interesting, use of woodwork. Mixing art and interior design, Les Artistes Inn is quite the sight.
