L'Auberge Del Mar

I first and only time I came here was for my best friend's sisters wedding (all the way from France!) and I instantly fell in love with the property. They have a really pretty lobby that goes out to an outside bar and pool area with the most beautiful ocean view! It's like paradise really. The wedding reception was on top of the hotel, yes I know it's sounds scary but it wasn't because it's not very high up! The hotel is spread out on the hills of Del Mar maybe only 2 levels high. The view during the reception was perfect, the people working at the wedding were incredibly friendly, and pretty musch every aspect was ideal. I can't wait for the next excuse to go to San Diego and stay here again. Hope this helps if any of you are on the edge! Don't think twice, the L'Auberge will treat you right.

This year for my husband and I's anniversary I wanted to set up something special at a comfortable, elegant and refreshing place. I set reservations at L'Auberge Del Mar Resort and Spa for the weekend—and the experience definitely lived up to my expectations! This hotel did not feel like a hotel at all—after being casually greeted by employees at valet and check-in, my husband and I already knew this would be an enjoyable and comfortable weekend. We both felt so at ease in a suite designed with such a home-like atmosphere—it was furnished with couches, illuminated with bright natural sunlight from the patio, and not to mention had a wonderful view of the landscape and pool (where we often spent a lot of our time relaxing!). That comfortable feeling, along with the luxuriousness of the entire hotel atmosphere, definitely made our anniversary something special and everything that I had anticipated.
