Fans of the film Top Gun (and secret closet fans) will love the location of this Best Western Inn, next door to the Miramar Marine Base where the move was filmed. Although the hotel lies east of San Diego’s metro, all the city’s attractions are within easy freeway access.

The hotel is helpful in providing tour packages, and offers discounted tickets to big city draws like the San Diego Coo, Sea World and the Wild Animal Park. In addition, the beach is only ten minutes away. Rooms are decent and inexpensive, and the entire hotel is newly renovated with all the amenities you’d ever desire, including a pool, spa, and the ubiquitous continental breakfast.
