  • Restaurant Details: Although El Agave Tequileria is famed for many reasons, the most noted is the restaurant’s tequila selection. Over 150 varieties of this potent potion are offered, displayed in their endlessly diverse and often beautiful bottles. Whether sipped, tossed back, or enjoyed in a icy margarita, whatever brew you choose will be thoroughly enjoyed. As for the cuisine, it spans many different Mexican regions, from Tulum to Tijuana—well, maybe not the latter. The menu is highlighted by the presence of authentic, delicious moles: dishes with complex sauces, seasoned by chiles, chocolate, garlic, tomato, and many different spices. Other winners are the quesadillas de pueblo, which may include innards like mushrooms, ground turkey and potato salad along with that typical cheese; and the spicy shrimp served with tamarind and tropical fruit. Such intense flavors are cause for celebration—how about another round of tequila shots?
