Watch veteran and amateur surfers ride the waves to a cure at Scripps Beach below the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Get autographs, buy souvenirs, and listen to music by The Professors. The Longboard Invitational is free and open to everyone. After the competition ends, those who have purchased the $150 tickets are ushered up to the Luau at the Scripps Institute. There, guests are entertained by live music and tradition Polynesian dancing while eating a tropical buffet. There will also be live and silent auctions and opportunity drawings throughout the night that will support the fight for cancer. All proceeds benefit the Moores UCSD Cancer Center.
