THUNDER ROAD is a kick-ass Bruce Springsteen cover band formed in 2009 by a talented group of fans including KPRI co-owner and show host Robert Hughes. The purpose is two-fold: To celebrate the music of the boss and to make up for the fact that he hasn’t played in San Diego for 28 years, despite referencing the city in “Rosalita” and “Balboa Park.”
