In the 1980s a pilot left a surfboard in a remote seaside village in Papua New Guinea- this is a film about how one surfboard changed a culture.
Splinters took home Best Documentary Wins at the 2011 Surfer Poll Awards in Oahu; the 2011 London Surf Film Festival & the 2011 Hawaii International Film Festival & walked the carpet at Tribeca, IDFA... Splinters is screening for one night only at Bird's Surf Shed.

Local surfboard shaper Josh Hall is donating a 5'5 Lis/Frye inspired Keel Fin Fish with Hand foiled wood fins to be raffled off via ticket stubs.
Director Adam Pesce & Dr. Jess Ponting will host a brief discussion after the show.
