Event Details:
Event Description:
In addition to his plays, William Shakespeare wrote 154 sonnets, many dealing with themes of love, yearning and passion. Come join the San Diego Shakespeare Society for this free, informal, open reading of some of the greatest expressions of love ever written. On this Valentine's Day evening, anyone is welcome to come along and read a favorite sonnet. If you've not read in public before, it is a fun, stress-free environment to give it a try. Or if you would prefer not to read, just come along to listen.. We'll meet in the cafe seating area of the Upstart Crow, so grab a latte and a snack at the coffee bar and come join in! Seating is informal, so you are welcome to come for just part of the evening if you like. A free San Diego Shakespeare Society membership will be offered to the first Romeo & Juliet (young couple) who jointly read their favorite Sonnet.
