Event Details: Event Description:
The third annual SDJA Carmel Valley Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning – Thursday, November 26, 2009.

The fun family event will take place on the 56 bike trail and part of the SDJA cross country course. The event features a scenic 3.1 miles (5K) course as well as a great post-race party on the SDJA Football Field with a raffle, prizes, costume contest and goodies from Clif Bar, Souplantation, Jimbo’s and more. Everyone receives a t-shirt and goodie bag and Under 12 run/trot for FREE.

As always, the event will feature a local celebrity leading the race in festive garb (read: a turkey suit). This year’s honored host will be Michelle Guerin, editor-in-chief of DiscoverSD.com.

Come out before the big Thanksgiving meal and burn some calories, have fun and support SDJA Athletics and Hand Up Pantry.

7 am – Pre-race registration
7:55 am – Turkey is present for National Anthem and photo opps
8am – Race begins
10am – Post-race party and prize giveaways
