Join The Alzheimer’s Association as they celebrate the artistic expressions of those with Alzheimer’s disease at the annual fundraising event - Memories in the Making Art Auction.

Alzheimer’s Association’s Memories in the Making is a creative art expression program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Even after people with dementia have lost the ability to use words, they are often able to express thoughts and emotions and to share memories through art. Beautiful artwork is created by program participants during art classes held throughout San Diego County.

In addition to the artwork by persons with dementia, the event will feature “paired” work by local artists who provide their interpretation of a work of art produced at a Memories in the Making class. These pieces will be placed side-by-side at the exhibit and attendees will have an opportunity to purchase this art and raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Association’s programs and services. The event will also feature palettes designed by local artists, which will be included in the silent auction.
