Pint-sized Pomeranian and newly crowned author, Gentleman Norman, as he is famously known, is pleased to announce the release of his first book, Gentleman Norman: How to Be a Man. From grooming and wardrobe, to relationship maintenance and manners, the book details the fundamental qualities of a true gentleman and demonstrates the virtues that every respectable gentleman must possess.

From canine confidante to established author, Norman is ready to share his well-bred secrets with the world. Full of wisdom, panache and confidence, Norman’s beautifully photographed coffee table book draws upon his own twelve years of life experience - eleven of which are marked by a remarkable friendship with loving owner, Georgia native and Rancho Santa Fe, California resident, Laura Martella. After a difficult divorce and the death of her mother from Alzheimer’s disease in 2011, Martella developed the idea of a book about traditional values and good old-fashioned manners. A therapeutic process for both Martella and Norman, Gentleman Norman: How to be a Man offers readers a tongue-and-cheek guide to good form, proving chivalry need not - and should not - die.

Accustomed to the VIP list and a beloved regular at San Francisco’s prestigious Fairmont Hotel, Norman has charmed his way into the hearts of Americans everywhere. Young whippersnappers don’t threaten his larger than life personality, and he sure isn’t afraid to wear pink - provided it’s cashmere, of course.

From accompanying Martella on shopping trips to helping her through tough times, the pooch full of personality and compassion, knows how to work a room, lend a thoughtful paw and has table manners better than most people. This mini mogul realizes big isn’t about the size, but rather the attitude and heart. Martella and Gentleman Norman are giving back to a cause close to both of their hearts and will be donating a portion of book sales to the Alzheimer’s Association San Diego/Imperial Chapter.

Norman and Laura will be present at the book signing at Sunrise La Costa signing paw-tographs. Another familiar face from Norman’s guide on How To Be a Man, Ralph Morgon, will be present as well. He is a WWII veteran and resides at Sunrise at La Costa.
