The newly re-named Orchestra Nova San Diego (formerly San Diego Chamber Orchestra) celebrates "Flying Solo" on October 21, 24 and 26. The stars of the orchestra step forward to perform without a conductor for the first time – for one selection, Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. They'll perform and talk about other featured classical favorites: Mozart's Salzburg 's Symphony No. 1 and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Orchestra Nova is pleased to present the critically acclaimed virtuoso Norman Krieger performing Beethoven's great piano concerto with the orchestra and the beloved Moonlight Sonata as a solo. Tickets range from $35 - 45 and can be purchased online.
