Dizzy’s and The Cosmopolitan Hotel proudly present the annual 4th of July “Special $5 Family Jazz Barbecue.” Starting at noon $5 will get you a burger, all-beef hot dog, chicken-breast sandwich or pulled pork on a bun, with beans, cole slaw and watermelon. Another $5 will get you a beer or house wine.

From 3 to 6 pm Dizzy’s will present America’s home-grown music: the sweet tones of traditional New Orleans street jazz with the eight-piece Euphoria Brass Band. Only $5 cover for two sets (1st set starts @3 PM)

Skip the crowds at the beach (where drinking alcohol is illegal), and bring the family instead to The

Cosmopolitan Hotel in scenic Old Town State Park. The Cosmo orchard patio also offers a full menu of delicious food and drink, full bar service, an evening fire bar and surrounding terraces of lime, orange, lemon, olive, pomegranate and loquat trees, fresh herbs, grape vines and wisteria. Best of all – plenty of FREE PARKING.

The Euphoria Brass Band features Ron Bocian snare drum, Drew Miller bass drum, Tim Jameson trumpet, April West trombone, Dave Jackson tenor sax, JP Balmat woodwinds, sousaphonist Wayne Rice, and special guest vocalist David Mosby.
