PROGRAM OVERVIEW
We offer this Raja Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training Program for individuals interested in furthering their spiritual growth, their personal yoga practice and have the desire to share these teachings with others. This 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Program is for yoga students who wish to advance their studies, deepen their practice and/or teach.
This dynamic spiritually-based program offers a comprehensive and balanced approach to the ancient tradition of Raja Yoga (inclusive of all of the yogas) and its practical application to modern living. As a certified yoga teacher you will emerge from the program with a new life perspective, clarity, strength and the knowledge and skills to share these teachings with others.
In this authentic Raja Yoga program, Hatha Yoga will also have special emphasis. The fluid, breath-based asanas or poses have a dynamic place in your training for the purpose of proper alignment, tension release and clarity of mind to fine-tune your body/mind instrument. The asanas are studied and practiced as a part of the complete eight-fold path of Raja Yoga for the purposeful evolution of consciousness. The curriculum is equally strong in providing you with the background, experience and skills to teach the inner practices of yoga: pranayama, meditation, mantrum yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, nada (sound) yoga and the chakra system. You will learn their place in spiritual unfoldment, and how to skillfully bring them into an asana-based yoga class.
As the ten weekend program unfolds, you will be encouraged to find and express your own unique voice, develop confidence in your inner wisdom and emerge transformed—a strong and inspired yogi and teacher.
