Contributor's Summary: I was lucky enough to grow up in Encinitas – one of the most laid-back beach communities in North County San Diego. From sun up ‘til sun down the Enc. beach bums and I would lay out, wander around Highway 101 and hunt for the best Mexican food in town. Ask any local, there really is something magical about growing up in a city like San Diego. Yet I had no idea how fortunate I was until the day I left for college at UC Davis. Oh Sacramento, how I don’t miss you at all. Fast forward to three years later when I did everything in my power to graduate early and run back down south. In fall of 2006 a few crazy La Jolla boys launched a new website called DiscoverSD.com, and I happened to be at the right place at the right time, and more inspired than ever. For four and a half years now I’ve done my best to make this website into a fun lifestyle guide fit for savvy locals and curious visitors who want to live like locals. From spas to clubs and restaurants, I guide you to the best of San Diego based on the lifestyle I lead and believe in. I'm addicted to spa days. I thrive on our evolving nightlife scene.
