Listing Details: The Casbah has been hosting big names in their intimate venue since 1989. Once only having a capacity of 75, The Casbah hosted shows for legends including Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Lemonheads, The Jesus Lizard and Rocket From The Crypt. Desperate for more space, they moved down the road to their new location in 1994, which includes a capacity of 200+, an enclosed smoking patio, a back room filled with pool tables and games, a music room with a state-of-the-art sound system and a full bar. Some of the bands who have played at their current location include MGMT, Franz Ferdinand, The White Stripes, The Arcade Fire and Ben Harper. The Casbah is also a great place to hear bands who have not quite yet made it. It’s intimate, it’s divey and it’s a perfect place to grab a drink and enjoy a variety of great music.
