| ProsChic, stylish, and the rooms are phenomenal!!!ConsRude, overinflated pricing and egos of doormen. Overly complicated security setupConclusionI will not return to this bar. If I stay at the hotel, I'll be a patron at one of the many fine bars in San Diego that consider customer service to be an art. This isn't one of them. |
| | This hotel bar was snob central. I've never taken the moment to make a review of a Gaslamp bar (and my wife and I have been to many) but the staff of 207 in my opinion need to set their feet back on the ground and pay attention to their customers. The bar is quite stylish like many others in the Gaslamp. The doorman wears all black and an earpiece like many others in the Gaslamp. The bartender was quick and took care of our needs with hardly a smile. The doorman ignored our approach at the velvet rope. Thankfully we were saved by friends who were staying there and walked us in a separate entrance after a bit of confusion for our 20 member party. When we attempted to leave, we were stopped and told we could not leave that direction. Overall we felt trapped and ignored as people. The flow in and out of the bar was poor because you felt you were being watched and cordoned off from one place to another. |
