Pacific Beach
Besides the Downtown and Gaslamp nightlife, no other area of San Diego parties harder than Pacific Beach. With a string of bars, clubs, and lounges pouring down Garnet and Mission Beach Boulevard it's hard to spot a place that's not jumping with Pacific Beach nightlife most every night.
Clubs and Bars in Pacific beach most notorious for huge crowds and good times such as Pacific Beach Bar & Grille, and neighbor Moondoggies are definitely places you don't want to arrive too late to and suffer the fate of the line on the most busy nights. Four blocks or so up the street come two more heavy hitters on the Pacific Beach bars scene, The Tavern at the Beach and Typhoon Saloon, famous for its night of "Metal Skool".
If you're staying at the hotel Tower23 you might find the more upscale nightlife at Tower23 Tower Bar a break from the otherwise pretty casual scene of Pacific Beach nightlife.
