Every Sunday, Dale Sebert and Jim Hickey load up a British style double-decker bus with a bunch of party people, a whole lot of Tuaca, and the best thing to ever come out of Lynchburg Tennessee: Jack Daniels. The Tuaca Party Bus meets at Rockin' Baja Lobster in Old Town, and then cruises around to three different San Diego bars. Destinations range from the Mission Beach and Pacific Beach areas to downtown San Diego, hitting up mostly sports bars and dives where you’ll be treated like VIPs with free appetizers and drink specials.
The cost is $35 and should be worth it -- depending on how much you drink.
The secret to enjoying a good party bus is to be outgoing. Right away, you need to meet everybody on the bus -- especially the older folks. They’ve been partying a lot longer than you have, and chances are they’re better at it. These are the benefactors who will be buying you drinks at the end of the night and providing most of the entertainment. They might even try to hook you up with their cute offspring.
Make sure you head up top and try to reenact the Burt Bacharach scene from Austin Powers 2. If that fails, just wave like royalty to the peasants below. Make sure you have a ride when you get dropped off; you always drink more than you think you will on these things.
