Rock and Roll Marathon
By far the coolest way to run twenty-six miles and three-hundred and eight-five yards, the Rock and Roll marathon in San Diego has been running since 1998. Leave the whisky and cigarettes at home, you’re going to have to be in serious shape to work your way through this trek that will have you moving all throughout the city. Live bands perform in locations along the course, keeping both the runners and the energetic crowd entertained. Participants even get a free meal upon competition, t-shirts, and are each awarded a medal to commemorate their effort. Want to make sure you’re up to speed before the race? Check out the Team In Training program, sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which accepts donations to benefit those in need all while helping you get into shape. Get in gear and challenge yourself to the upcoming Rock and Roll Marathon in San Diego.
