Editorial Review of
Knott's Soak City
While San Diego is usually cited for sunshine and perfect weather, the Summer heat still likes to occasionally show it?s teeth once and a while. When this time comes, beaches are usually over crowded and fighting for a wave in the populated Pacific Ocean can be a bit more than we bargain for. Fear not, as Southern California attraction giant Knott?s Berry Farm has recently extended their line of Soak City water parks into San Diego. Located south of Downtown in the city of Chula Vista, Soak City offers a multitude of water-based entertainment to it?s visitors. Most notably are the colorful slide series ?Pallasides Plunge? and ?Solana Storm Watch Tower?, each consisting of three colorful slides each which end in a single pool. The ?Pacific Spin? may be the park?s biggest attraction, which is an enourmous, funnel shaped four person raft ride that sends you down a huge slide before slowly slipping down the funnel. Soak City is the perfect spot to host a birthday party, as kids are free to roam around the park but are all centrally headquartered at an easily accessible cabana that allows parents to sit out and enjoy the sun or to jump right into the action. Season passes are also available for residents who want to make frequent trips to this waterlogged entertainment mecca. Prices are incredibly reasonable, inviting guests to purchase a season pass for what they would usually expect to pay for a single entry. Next time the San Diego heat has got you down, head over to Knott?s Soak City and make your day a splash!
