Kate Sessions park is a great place for family gatherings, a game of slosh ball or even a wedding.  The view is breath taking.  Over the park one can see Mission Bay, the Coronado Bridge and even Tijuana's distant hills. Its 60 acres of land are perfect for people who love hiking and the wide open spaces of grass are great for family picnics.  The park itself is named after Kate Sessions who actually designed the famous Balboa Park also located in San Diego. She is nicknamed the Mother of Balboa Park. The park also features baseball and soccer fields, play equipment and restrooms.
