Allowing you to spend a night by the sea, this grounds are open each year from March to October. Perfect for both tents and RVs, the sandy campsite is a welcome alternative to the backwoods camping most of us are used to. Visitors are able to surf, swim, snorkel, and even dive in the area, making it ideal for nearly any beach activity. San Elijo State Beach also plays home to an overnight surf school group which hosts weekend escapes and camps for large groups, youth groups, and private events, even offering day trips and rentals to those who just want to get a taste of the action. If you start to miss the comforts of home, don’t worry, a camp store and accompanying snack bar are located right next to the campground entrance to help stock up on anything you may need. With the recent addition of Wi-Fi services, “roughing it” at San Elijo State Beach will certainly be more of a pleasure than a pain.
