Editorial Review of
La Jolla Children's Pool
Partially protected by a strand of sea wall, the Children’s Pool in La Jolla was originally created as a sectioned off swimming area. Unfortunately, over the years a massive amount of sand has built inside of this small cove and has since turned the area into a much more covered, scenic landscape. What is there to see? Well, outside of the gorgeous views of the San Diego coast and the picturesque cliffs that have been carefully crafted by erosion, the La Jolla Children’s Pool is a great place to see hundreds of seals and sea lions. These animals hop onshore to soak in a bit of sunshine and strike a pose for all of the eager onlookers. There are also several popular reefs just off of the shore here, which also makes this spot a popular local diving location. While it may not be the best swimming location, dipping your feet into the ocean is always a great way to cool down. With such unbelievable beautiful scenery and a location just south of several other popular small beaches, the La Jolla Children’s pool can be the perfect spot to beat the heat on a sunny San Diego day.
